2008 Bass Pro Shops Fall Extravaganza
All, For those of you could make it to our display at the Bass Pro Shops, I thank you. For those that couldn't, hopefully you can make it for the 2009 edition as you missed a good time. We did a bunch of good things this weekend. First and foremost, we appeased the Bass Pro Shops. The are much more conducive to part with sponsorship dollars, when we support their large functions. Secondly, we made alliances with several other groups, such as Ducks Unlimited and the Big Horn Sheep guys. All of which will play out as time passes. The entire BofD was present on Sunday and we discussed several items. One of which was the list of potential mammal judges. We decided that if there were suggestions, that need to get to me on or before August 20. We can then narrow the list down and begin to contact these individuals with our criteria. Please feel free to submit to me the names of who you might think is the best one for us in 2009. Secondly, we discussed our next meeting/seminar. It will be held at our shop on October 4, 2008 from 9:00 to 6:00. We will be discussing 'coloring'. There is much more to it than just airbrushing. We ask that each attendee pre-register, or RSVP, and also want each attendee to bring something that they want to see 'colored'. Be it a bird head, a jawset for a bobcat or whatever, bring it, but also bring all of the reference material that you have for any particular item and we will try to get it colored as a group. We also ask that you bring the airbrush that you currently use in your shop. The fee for attending will be $25. It will include all of the demonstration materials and also dinner after the class. We also will have a general meeting. We need to discuss some of the idiosyncrasies of our bylaws as well as the order of events for the show in 2009. Of course, any other items that might arise. A spouse or guest can attend the dinner portion for an additional $5. There is room for several of you out of towners to stay here, as we have an RV, a spare room and a couple of hide a beds sofas. Please RSVP on those so we know what to plan for, and don't be shy about it. Lastly, we have raffle tickets for sale. we are raffling off a shoulder mount of the winners' trophy, up to the size of a Mule Deer. Tickets are $10, and we intend to perform the work at the show in 2009. I am excited with this program, as it will inject the publics' dollars into our account, not just our own money. And what better to raffle off, besides our collective talent? Let us all know what you think of these ideas, TJ

Hello Terry,
Thanks for a great set up and booth at the opening of our Fall Hunting Classic. It was good to see you all and partner on this event. Your crew really shone with their pieces
and I look forward to future displays with demonstrations. I appreciate working with you all and enjoyed having you here - please pass my thanks on to all the ATAA members that
represented the ATAA and raised awareness not only to the customers, the 1st time people through our store, but also all the Hunting and Conservation groups set up around you.
The ATAA definitely made an impression and we hope it helps to reap you many rewards.
Thanks again and take care,
ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS!
