This organization helps make sick kids' hunting or fishing dreams come true.
In the fall of 2009 Ty
Hart, a guide in Cottonwood, Arizona
(Walking W Outfitters), and ATAA MEMBER Gerry Backhaus, set up an Elk camp
in Unit 8 in order to guide a young man from Clinton, MS on an Elk hunt.
The young man is Grant Brashier, a 17 year old who has CANCER and received
this hunt through CATCH-A-DREAM. Grant saw a lot of nice Bulls, but just
could not close the distance or get a shot at them. Then on the next to the
last day of the hunt they found a bull Grant was able to collect. The bull
was a nice 6 x 6, then after the rut it ended up being a 3 x 3. All the 4th,
5th and 6th points and the mains are broken.
The Arizona Taxidermy
Artists Association members will help fulfill this young man's dream by
mounting his trophy. At the same time, our members will have an opportunity
to learn some of the fine points of mounting an elk.
THE WILDLIFE GALLERY, INC
donated the tanning of the cape
TRUFITT donated the form,
eyes, and ear liners
We are seeking a DONATION of the cost of
SHIPPING and shipping crate materials.
All members are asked to
attend.
