Bird Taxidermy - Danny Owen, Lubbuck, Texas. Danny will also be the fish, reptile and bird judge. A talented artist receiving the NTA Award of Excellence in Birds, and has won numerous awards for his relaxed and realistic mounts. He will share all phases of bird taxidermy from skinning to mounting in his seminar. Danny will express the importance of eye, wing, and leg positioning. His simple methods will help you speed up your work as well as improve your mounts. |
| 6:00 - 9:00 pm | Dutch Oven Cooking Seminar - Gail Tout and Ceej Johnson. Are you curious about what to do with those heavy old cast-iron pots? Gail Tout and Ceej Johnson will share years of experience with Dutch Oven cooking, basic to gourmet. The versatile pots can cook almost anything you can cook on your conventional range and oven, but over a campfire. Game meat demonstration will be included. We invite the spouses who are not attending the Friday night seminar to join us. |

Dan and Gail Tout, T-Basix, will cover the process possibilities and benefits to you and your customers. T-Basix started when Dan started building shipping crates, display panels and custom bases for the local taxidermists in the area. Five years ago, Gail began preparing & finishing rugs for other commercial taxidermists. Saving Tax Dollars For The Taxidermists - Roy Ruiz, Ruiz Tax Service. Roy has over 30 years of tax experience. This seminar is for newcomers and old pros in the taxidermy business. Roy will offer ways that can save you big bucks on filing your taxes, provide tax forms and literature on ways to arrange your office bookkeeping to help you plan and organize your tax records, and will show you how to invert business loses to reduce your spouse's taxable income and pay less taxes. A question and answer period will allow you to discuss particular problems you experience. He guarantees that you will learn something new. |
